Appointment affirms Acadian’s commitment to expanding D&I efforts within the firm

BOSTON – June 15, 2021 – Acadian Asset Management LLC, a leader in global systematic investing with $110 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2021, today announced that Rebecca (“Becky”) Rosen has joined as Director of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). In this role, Becky will be responsible for leading Acadian’s D&I forum and global D&I strategy, including setting realistic and aspirational goals and expanding the firm’s existing strategy to heighten staff engagement, talent development and retention, and client and community impact.

“We are thrilled to welcome Becky to the team to help us grow our diversity, equity, and inclusion program,” said Ross Dowd, co-CEO. “Becky’s hire allows us to continue to formalize and expand upon our efforts as we take stock of the work ahead of us and the strategies we will need to get there. We believe we have established the right framework for progress, and we are excited to add a dedicated, experienced resource to work closely with business leaders across the firm to advance our organizational goals for D&I. This work matters immensely to executive leadership at Acadian, and we are confident that with Becky’s guidance, we will be able to create more opportunity, engagement, and awareness among both internal and external stakeholders.”

“I’m excited by the challenge offered by Acadian to lead them into the next phase of their work in this critical area. I’m confident I can bring both the right experience and a fresh perspective to the table, and I look forward to advancing the conversation within Acadian and the industry more broadly. It’s paramount to me that I am part of a team that understands the importance of a dedicated D&I effort to foster employee and management engagement, as well as the need to recruit, retain, and develop diverse talent for the firm,” added Rosen.

Rosen joins Acadian from Tufts Health Plan, where she served as Director of Diversity. Prior to Tufts, Rosen was a Project Director at ICF International. Rosen has a B.A. in Chemistry from Harvard and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of California, Berkley. She will report to Michael Miles, Global Director of Human Resources.

Acadian’s D&I strategy is structured around the pillars of accountability, professional development, talent management, and measurement. Acadian strives to achieve a high-performing work environment by ensuring that all employees are respected, included, and encouraged to realize their greatest potential. Internally, skill-building, career development, and professional advancement opportunities are critical to this effort, along with training, educational resources, and opportunities for managers and employees to engage and raise consciousness on diversity matters. Externally, the firm engages with key partners to enhance the talent pipeline, seeking to attract, develop, and retain talented and committed individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives.
