John Chisholm, CFA
Co-Chief Executive Officer
John was one of Acadian’s co-founders, joining the firm in 1987. He built the first versions of Acadian’s quantitative models and managed client portfolios, and then served as Acadian’s Chief Investment Officer for many years. In 2018 he moved into the co-CEO role along with Ross Dowd. Earlier in his career, John served as systems engineer at Draper Laboratories and as an analyst for the International Asset Management Department at the State Street Bank and Trust Company (now SSgA). He earned an M.S. in business/finance from MIT and a B.S. in engineering from MIT. John is a CFA charterholder and member of CFA Society Boston.
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Ross joined Acadian in 2004 and in 2018 moved from the head of Acadian’s Global Client Group to the Co-CEO position. He is a member of Acadian’s Board of Managers, as well as the Acadian Executive and Operating Committees. He has oversight responsibility for our global operations through his role on the boards of Acadian Asset Management (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Acadian Asset Management (U.K.) Limited, Acadian Asset Management (Japan), and Acadian Asset Management (Australia) Ltd. Prior to joining Acadian, Ross served in various roles including portfolio management, investment strategy, business development, and client relationship management with Barclays Global Investors. He earned his M.B.A. at the University of Chicago and a B.A. at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Brendan Bradley, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer
Brendan joined Acadian in 2004 as a senior member of the Research and Portfolio Management Team. In 2010, Brendan was appointed director of Managed Volatility strategies and in 2013, became director of Portfolio Management, overseeing portfolio management policy. Brendan earned his BA in physics from Boston College and his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Boston University.

Mark joined Acadian in 2000 and is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, human resources, compliance, operations, and liaising with parent company OMAM U.S. He is a member of the Acadian Board of Managers, Executive Committee, and Operating Committee. Previously, Mark worked for United Asset Management and Old Mutual in various financial and accounting roles. Mark holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
Kelly Young, CFA, CAIA
Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Kelly joined Acadian Asset Management U.K. in 2009 and serves as the firm’s chief marketing officer. Prior to joining Acadian, she was the European head of the index fund management business for SGAM Alternative Investments. Kelly has also worked for Northern Trust Global Investments and Barclays Global Investors in senior portfolio management positions. Kelly is a CFA charterholder and member of CFA U.K., holds the CAIA charter, and is a member of CAIA Association. Kelly graduated with honors from Brunel University.

Chief Compliance Officer
Scott joined Acadian in 2004 and is responsible for maintaining and overseeing Acadian’s compliance program and legal matters. Previously, he was with LPL Financial Services, where he worked for over eight years in various roles including as vice president of compliance and associate counsel. Prior to LPL, he was a staff attorney with the Massachusetts Securities Division in the Investment Adviser section. Scott earned his B.S. at Babson College and his J.D. from the New England School of Law.

Global Director Human Resources
Mike has over 30 years of experience within financial services. He joined Acadian in 2006 and is responsible for managing human resources, globally. Previously, he was with Wellington Management Company for 4 years as a senior human resources manager. Prior to Wellington, he was a senior human resources relationship manager and held various leadership roles over 14 years with Zurich/Scudder Investments. Mike attended Fisher College and completed the HR Law Program at Cornell University.

Chief Technology Officer
Peter joined Acadian in 2014 and is the firm's chief technology officer. Prior to joining Acadian, Peter was a principal at Beacon Consulting Group, where he was responsible for providing strategic IT planning, data management, back and middle office process design, and outsourcing evaluation and conversion services to asset management clients. He also previously worked at Pioneer Investments, first as the CTO of the firm's U.S. operations, and more recently as the global CTO for Pioneer Global Asset Management. He worked in a number of technology roles prior to his work at Pioneer, including senior positions at MFS Investment Management and State Street Corp. Peter holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.

Ted joined Acadian in 2003 and is currently director of the Americas Client Group. Prior to joining Acadian, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Deutsche Bank, in corporate finance at General Electric and as a senior investment associate at Bridgewater Associates. Ted earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (with Distinction) and a B.A. from Middlebury College (Phi Beta Kappa).

Marlene is a senior member of Acadian’s Global Client Group, overseeing the servicing of our clients in North America. Prior to joining Acadian, she was a new business development professional at Morgan Stanley and a principal at SSgA. She holds a B.A. from Williams College.
Ryan Taliaferro, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Director, Equity Strategies
Ryan joined Acadian in 2011 and currently serves as director of equity strategies. Previously, he was the lead portfolio manager for Acadian’s Managed Volatility strategies. Prior to joining Acadian, Ryan was a faculty member in the finance unit at Harvard Business School, where he taught corporate finance and asset pricing. Earlier, he was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. Ryan earned a Ph.D. in business economics (finance) from Harvard University and an M.B.A. in finance and economics from the University of Chicago. He also holds an A.M. in economics, and an A.M. and A.B. in physics from Harvard University.
Senior Vice President, Director, Implementation
Alex joined Acadian in 2012 and is the director of Implementation, leading Acadian’s team responsible for portfolio construction and trading. Prior to his current role, Alex served as the firm’s director of Long/Short equity strategies. Previously, Alex was a senior portfolio manager at Gartmore Investment Management in London and Boston, where he focused on long/short funds while co-managing a global active book of business of $3 billion. Alex obtained his M.Sc. in software engineering from the Minsk Radio Engineering Institute.
